Weddings are of course mostly about the two people who are getting married. That said, whenever I’m at a wedding it is usually the children who bring an added level of authenticity and, lets face it, humor, to the proceedings.
The kids are excited, and why not? They often get to dress up and play an important role in the ceremony itself, and even if they aren’t in the wedding, the general air of excitement and joy is infectious, and children jump right in. But the downside for kids is that weddings can be long and they are full of adults whose focus is elsewhere. The excitement can ebb or fade altogether to ennui or exhaustion or both, and when you’re very young, it all just translates to various levels of adorable. And that inevitably means great images.
Here are some of my favorite moments, brought to you by the kids.
