The Cop Cot & Boro Hotel Wedding of Viviane & Nicholas

What makes a wedding special? Ultimately it comes down to the people present, whether a large group or intimate gathering. Nicholas and Viviane’s wedding, in the summer of 2021, was both the celebration of their marriage and a reunion of friends who had been separated by the pandemic. Starting with their ceremony in the lush green of Central Park and the Cop Cot shelter and ending with a confetti and bubble filled rooftop reception/dance party at the Boro Hotel in Queens, it was a joyous, raucous party from start to finish. Documentary photography is particularly well suited to uninhibited expressions of joy, and that was every moment of Viviane and Nicholas’s wedding day. Here are just a few of my favorites from the time I spent with them.
