Documentary wedding photography is more than just making photos. It’s capturing real moments in time as they happen. Whether those moments occur in a large group or a small intimate gathering, documentary wedding photos are all about the people and emotions involved, rather than a set script or shot list. 

 As a documentary wedding photographer, I love arriving at a wedding, meeting the people, reading the energy of the room and catching it in photos my couples cherish. Every wedding is different, and therefore the photos will be, too. Great wedding photos communicate the unique aspects of the couple and the way they’ve chosen to celebrate. They show you how it felt to be there, rather than just how it looked.
