Capturing What Happens,
As it Happens

Whether it is laughter echoing in a grand hall, quiet tears shared in a private corner, or every in-between glance and embrace, I am right there with you, quietly recording it all. I do not impose any ideas of how your photos should appear, nor do I direct your emotions. The outcome is imagery that is authentic, unscripted, and completely yours. Because no two Manhattan weddings are alike, your images should reflect your day with honesty and individuality.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • A documentary wedding photographer pays attention to detail, choosing honesty over staging. The purpose is to capture your wedding exactly as it naturally unfolds, alive with genuine joy and connection. In Manhattan, I bring this approach to every celebration, blending in with the flow of the day so I can preserve the authentic moments that tell your true story.

  • Every wedding carries its own heartbeat, and the images that resonate most deeply with couples are often the ones taken in the background without them realizing. These unscripted frames form the essence of documentary wedding photography: an honest portrayal of your day as it happened. Because no two couples are alike, your gallery will be filled with moments that highlight your personality and your love, creating photographs that become treasures for life.

  • Yes. Even though my strength lies in documentary-style photography, I absolutely take the essential group portraits. Typically, this process lasts no longer than 15 to 20 minutes, allowing more time for you to enjoy your celebration while still ensuring you have those meaningful family photographs.

  • A wedding day is meant to unfold naturally without choreography or instruction, and what it truly requires is a photographer who knows how to see what is happening. That is where I step in, capturing moments exactly as they occur without forcing or imposing anything. Because of this philosophy, I do not give direction. My purpose is to document your wedding as it is, in its truest and most genuine form. You should not feel as though you are acting for the camera or putting on a show. My hope is that you set photography aside in your mind as much as possible, and instead place all your energy and joy into experiencing the day to the fullest with the people who mean the most to you.

  • Yes. From your first look through your heartfelt vows and into the energy of the speeches, I document each key event in a way that preserves the authentic emotions behind them. Every part of your wedding day is worth remembering.

  • Absolutely. I am available to travel to Manhattan for weddings, along with any other location throughout the United States. In addition, I am open to photographing destination weddings outside of the country.

  • The best way to begin is by reaching out with your Manhattan wedding date and chosen venue so that I can confirm my availability. Once that is settled, we can set up a time to connect, whether that is through a phone conversation, a video chat, or an in-person meeting, to go over all the details and have the chance to get to know one another better. To officially hold your wedding date, I ask for a $200 non-refundable deposit. The remaining balance is required to be paid no later than one month before your wedding day. For couples planning in Manhattan on a shorter schedule, with less than one month before the celebration, the full payment is required at the time of booking.

  • The turnaround time for your completed wedding gallery is usually between four and six weeks. This period allows me to carefully edit each image with the attention and artistry it deserves, ensuring your collection is both timeless and polished. Once your gallery is ready, I will send you a private online link where you can view, download, and share all of your edited photos with family and friends.

  • Yes, I carry comprehensive professional indemnity and public liability insurance, which means you can feel fully confident in hiring me. Should your venue require proof of insurance, I can easily provide them with a certificate. I also always recommend verifying that all of your chosen wedding vendors have their own coverage, as it adds an extra layer of reassurance on such an important day.

  • I tell your love story by paying close attention to the moments that unfold naturally and truthfully. Instead of stiff or posed images, I look for spontaneous laughter, tender glances, and heartfelt tears that reveal the real essence of your day. Each frame becomes part of a carefully crafted story that feels personal, meaningful, and completely your own.
