Enjoyment

Capturing What Happens,
As it Happens

Whether it is laughter beneath the city lights, heartfelt tears during vows, or the quieter moments of reflection, I remain close by to capture each one. I never impose what I think your wedding photos should look like, nor do I interrupt what is already beautiful. What you receive are images that are real, unposed, and true to your day. Because every wedding on the Upper West Side is unique, your images should embody that same individuality and grace.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • A documentary wedding photographer focuses on authenticity, never staging but instead preserving the natural rhythm of the day. The aim is to produce images that reflect your wedding as it really unfolds, brimming with joy and connection. On the Upper West Side, I bring this method to every wedding, quietly present and ready to document the real moments that reveal the heart of your celebration.

  • The most cherished images are often the spontaneous ones: the smiles, the glances, the laughter no one expected. These are the moments that documentary photography brings to life. Your relationship is unlike anyone else’s, so your wedding gallery will be filled with images that reflect your personality, your love, and your one-of-a-kind celebration.

  • Yes. While my focus is documentary coverage, I also take the necessary group portraits. Usually, this part of the day lasts no more than 15 to 20 minutes, keeping it efficient so that you can quickly return to celebrating with your loved ones.

  • A wedding day is not something that needs to be orchestrated, posed, or choreographed, it simply requires a photographer who has the ability to notice and capture the real moments as they happen. That is the essence of what I do. I capture life as it unfolds without giving direction or imposing on what is already naturally beautiful. Because of this, I will not tell you what to do or how to do it. I document your wedding as it genuinely takes place. You should not have the sense that your wedding day is a staged performance. My hope is that you focus as little as possible on photography, and instead put your heart into enjoying every minute of your celebration.

  • Yes. Each of these major milestones, from your first look to your vows and speeches, will be carefully documented, ensuring that nothing meaningful is missed.

  • Absolutely. I am happy to travel to the Upper West Side for weddings, and I also take on celebrations across the United States. Beyond that, I am available for destination weddings abroad.

  • The process begins by contacting me with the date and venue of your Upper West Side wedding so that I can verify my availability. Once that step is complete, we can set aside time to meet and talk, whether that is through a phone call, a video meeting, or sitting down together in person, to ensure we cover every detail and build a comfortable connection. To secure your wedding date, I request a $200 non-refundable deposit. The rest of the payment is due no later than one month before your wedding day. If you are planning your Upper West Side wedding within a shorter timeframe, with less than a month remaining before the big day, full payment is required at the time of booking.

  • On average, it takes about four to six weeks to deliver your finished wedding gallery. During this time, I meticulously review and edit each photo to highlight the beauty and emotion of your day. My goal is to create a collection that you will look back on for years with joy. Once the gallery is complete, I’ll send you a private online link where all of your professionally edited images will be available.

  • Yes, I am fully insured with professional indemnity and public liability insurance in place. If your venue requests a certificate of insurance, I am happy to provide one promptly. This is part of ensuring that you have peace of mind on your wedding day, and I suggest confirming that every vendor working with you has similar coverage for everyone’s security.

  • My goal is always to document your story in the most authentic way possible. I avoid staged posing and instead concentrate on capturing those fleeting interactions that make your day uniquely yours. Whether it’s the quiet touch of a hand, shared laughter among friends, or heartfelt tears from loved ones, these real moments are what come together to tell the complete story of your love.
