Jewish Wedding Photographer in NYC
Capturing the authentic moments and tradition of your wedding day.
Jewish weddings carry a depth of tradition, joy, and community that moves me every time I step behind the camera. Each moment feels alive, from the energy around the chuppah to the quiet emotion during the badeken.I approach every Jewish wedding with the same intention I bring to all the celebrations I document. I stay present, watch the day unfold, and capture the real connections and unscripted moments that tell your story in a true and honest way.
My Approach
to Documentary-Style
Wedding Photography
Your wedding day unfolds in its own rhythm, and I honor that. As a documentary-style wedding photographer, I stay present without stepping in or shaping the moment. You move through your day as you naturally would, and I watch for the glances, the laughter, the emotion that rises when you least expect it. Instead of focusing on poses, I focus on what feels real, so your photos reflect the spirit and connection that filled your celebration.Couples often tell me that my calm presence helps them relax and stay grounded. When you look back at your images, I want you to feel the day again, just as you lived it.
Real Photos That Tell Your Authentic Wedding Story
Every wedding carries its own story and momentum, no matter the setting. What you’ll see in the below galleries are glimpses into those celebrations—the unscripted moments, the completely raw emotion, and the true flow of the wedding day as it truly happened.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
A true documentary wedding photographer stays present in the moment, never staging or directing to “create” something that isn’t there. I believe your wedding photographs should reflect your day exactly as it was lived—unscripted, joyful beauty, and full of real connection. I bring a steady, supportive presence, observing and capturing the genuine emotions as they unfold.
-
Yes. I check in before everything begins so I know where to stand and when to step back. This respect for the ceremony helps me move through the room with ease while your friends and family stay focused on what matters.
-
Yes. I stay fully present during Jewish wedding traditions so I can catch the emotion and movement as they happen. I stay close enough to document the big and small moments around the bride and groom without disrupting the flow of the day. My goal is to tell your love story through quiet observation and honest images.

I work comfortably in low light and rely on experience that comes from years of Jewish wedding photography. Warm candlelight, dim sanctuaries, and evening receptions all offer opportunities to create images filled with depth and intimacy. I adjust quickly so your special moments stay true to how they felt.
-
Absolutely. The hora is one of the most joyful parts of the day. I stay mobile, anticipate the reactions, and watch for movement around the chairs and the breaking of the glass earlier in the day, so the story feels complete. These celebrations burst with life and give me the chance to create images that show your world exactly as it looked and felt in that moment.
-
Yes. While documentary wedding photography is my speciality, I will of course take some group shots (including pictures of your family members), typically spending no more than 15-20 minutes on them.
-
Your wedding day already knows how to unfold. My role is to watch it with care and capture what happens naturally. I do not step in or guide you because I want you and your partner to stay fully present with your loved ones. The less you think about photos, the more you can enjoy the celebration while I document the moments around you.
-
Yes. I’ll travel anywhere in the United States. I can also shoot destination weddings outside the country.
-
The best way is to contact me with your wedding date and location so that I can check my availability. After that, we can meet either via phone, video chat, or in person to discuss details and get to know one another. I require a $200 non-refundable deposit in order to hold the date. The remainder of the balance is due no later than 1 month prior to the wedding. If you are working with a shortened time frame (less than one month before the wedding), full payment is due upon booking.
-
The exact timeframe will vary, but it typically takes me 4 to 6 weeks to edit the images and send them to you. This way, I can dedicate the time your photos deserve to create a gallery of honest, beautiful images. Once they're complete, I'll send you a link to your online gallery.

Yes. I am fully insured with both professional indemnity and public liability insurance. I can provide a certificate of insurance to the venue owners/managers if required. I’d also encourage you to confirm that every vendor you hire is fully insured.

Yes. Engagement sessions give you a chance to celebrate this chapter of your life story in a relaxed and meaningful way. I keep the experience easy so you can enjoy being together while I capture moments that feel genuine rather than posed.
