Candid, Natural Wedding Photography in Connecticut
Genuine, unposed photos that tell your story.
My Approach to Natural Wedding Photography in Connecticut
Documentary wedding photography captures your wedding day exactly as it happens, preserving every authentic emotion. For couples celebrating a Connecticut wedding, I focus on the moments that make your day unique, from heartfelt smiles to unscripted exchanges and bursts of laughter. I document your wedding with a calm and unobtrusive presence, capturing your story naturally without staging or interference.
Your wedding images should reflect the true spirit of your day. Couples often share that my presence helps them feel relaxed, allowing them to savor each moment. I move with the flow of your Connecticut wedding, whether the day is energetic and playful or serene and intimate, capturing the real connections that make it special. By working with only 12 to 15 weddings each year, I ensure your wedding receives the dedicated focus it deserves.
Some Styles of Weddings I Photograph
Whichever type of wedding you’re planning, I’ll photograph it. I love documenting weddings of every style, and each celebration brings its own story. Below are just a few examples of the many weddings I’ve photographed.
City Hall & Elopement Weddings
Spontaneous, stylish, and stress-free weddings captured with authenticity and care. From quick courthouse vows to intimate city strolls, I document the joy and energy of your day in a natural, candid way.
Beach Weddings
A calm approach that lets the shoreline set the scene. I focus on the genuine moments unfolding throughout your special day—the light shifting over the water, laughter carried on the wind, and the connection between you and your loved ones with the ocean as the backdrop.
LGBTQ+ Weddings
An inclusive and affirming approach to celebrating all love stories with heart and honesty. I create a space where you feel seen, supported, and free to express your love exactly as it is.
Jewish Wedding Photography
Sensitive to the cultural nuances and rituals that make each celebration meaningful. From the ketubah signing to the hora, I honor every tradition while capturing the emotion and connection at the heart of it all.

The goal of a documentary wedding photographer is to remain fully present throughout your wedding and capture real moments instead of directing them. Your wedding images should reflect your day as it was truly experienced with all the joy, laughter, and emotional connections intact. Serving as your Connecticut wedding photographer, I maintain a steady and reassuring presence while making sure every genuine smile, glance, and tender exchange is preserved naturally on camera.

No two couples are the same, and the photographs that couples return to most frequently tend to be the genuine, unplanned moments rather than the carefully posed shots. This is the core of documentary wedding photography, which focuses on preserving the real story of your wedding day as it naturally unfolds. Your wedding is a singular event, shaped by your personalities, relationships, and celebrations. By choosing documentary wedding photography, your images will capture the true spirit of your day and the special details that make your celebration entirely your own, leaving you with photographs that will be cherished for a lifetime.
-
Absolutely. While I specialise in capturing weddings in a documentary style, I am happy to take a few group photographs as part of your day. These shots usually take between 15 and 20 minutes, ensuring that you still have authentic, candid images for your memories while giving you a small set of posed photos to share with family and guests.

A wedding does not need to be orchestrated for photographs to be beautiful; it needs someone who is present and attentive to the unfolding moments. My job as your wedding photographer is to capture these moments as they naturally happen rather than directing or posing you. By focusing on observation rather than control, I allow your wedding to be experienced fully and authentically. You should feel free to enjoy your day without thinking about your photos, knowing that every laugh, glance, and spontaneous interaction is being captured exactly as it occurs.
-
Yes. As a wedding photographer who specializes in documentary storytelling, I devote attention to capturing all of the spontaneous and meaningful moments that occur throughout your day. From early preparations to the final dance, I preserve the authentic emotions and interactions that define your celebration.
-
Certainly. Although my studio is located in New York and I serve many couples as a New York wedding photographer, I am available to travel across the United States to photograph weddings. I also take on destination weddings abroad, ensuring that every special moment is documented with care and authenticity no matter the location of your celebration.
-
The easiest way to begin is to reach out with your wedding date and location so I can check my schedule. After confirming availability, we can arrange a meeting by phone, video chat, or in person to review the wedding details and become familiar with one another. A non-refundable deposit of $200 is needed to hold your date. The balance of the payment is due at least one month before the wedding. For weddings booked within a month of the date, the full payment must be made when reserving the date.
-
While the exact timeframe can differ from wedding to wedding, it typically requires four to six weeks for me to thoroughly edit your photos. Taking this time ensures that each image receives careful attention and that the gallery truly captures the moments and emotions of your day. After editing is finished, I will provide you with a link to an online gallery containing all of the polished images, ready for you to enjoy and share with family and friends.
-
Absolutely. I am fully covered with professional indemnity insurance as well as public liability insurance. Upon request, I can supply a certificate of insurance for the venue managers or owners. Additionally, I advise couples to verify that every vendor they hire maintains full insurance coverage to guarantee a safe and secure wedding day for everyone.
-
Absolutely. In addition to wedding photography, I offer engagement sessions that are natural, easygoing, and stress-free. During these sessions, I prioritize genuine interactions over forced poses, creating photographs that showcase your authentic bond and the unique dynamics of your relationship. These images serve as a true reflection of your love before the wedding day.
-
Couples often comment that my calm and reassuring approach makes a noticeable difference on their wedding day. In my work as a New York wedding photographer, I merge storytelling techniques with an editorial perspective, creating images that feel natural, spontaneous, and fully representative of your celebration. This approach ensures that your wedding photos are both meaningful and visually compelling.
-
Of course. The bridal party is included in a way that feels effortless and authentic, with attention to real interactions and spontaneous moments. I avoid imposing any staged direction, allowing the photos to reflect the true dynamics and relationships of your friends and family throughout the celebration.
